Founded by Botswana First Olympic medalist Nijel Amos, UYAL is Botswana’s inclusive, nationally accredited youth athletics platform, officially sanctioned by the Botswana Athletics Association and governed under official international competition regulations and technical standards. The league was established to create equal opportunity for young athletes across Botswana regardless of background, school system, geography, or financial circumstances.

Introducing the United Youth Athletics League, founded and spearheaded by Botswana's first Olympic medalist and alongside with his founding team, the league itends to pool youth talent from all over Botswana. Whether they're from Private, Public schools and out-of-school youth onto one competive platform, which is UYAL.

Having the youth from all over Botswana regardless of their background and circumstances, UYAL promises to boast an event of note and high calibre, rigid competitiveness at high integrity.
UYAL is the answer many have been waiting in the midst of lack of interschool competition which has been a big challange since COVID-19 pandemic.
What You Need to Participate
Age Requirements: Open to youth aged 9-18 years
Medical Clearance: Valid medical certificate required
Parental Consent: Required for athletes under 18
Registration Form: Complete online registration.

League Season Schedule
Series 1: Obed Itani Chilume Stadium, Francistown 08:00-20:00hrs
Series 2: National Stadium, Gaborone 08:00-20:00hrs.
All athletes and volunteers should download their ticket right after Online Regsitration. All tickets will be traded for the event badge which will be given at the event site. PLEASE NOTE; that the league's games are only available for the athletes aged BETWEEN 9-18. Please provide proof of identification(Birth Certificate, Passport copy or Omang(16 years and above) at the competition venue. Athletes not aged according to their age groups will be disqualified from participation. Terms and Conditions apply.
